Cyprus shakes/ Bomb explosion in the prosecutor's apartment

A female prosecutor in Greece has fallen prey to a mafia attack.

The media of the neighboring country report that yesterday evening a bomb was placed at the prosecutor's house in the Anavargou area, in Cyprus.

The 58-year-old prosecutor, who was at home at the time of the explosion, was injured and was taken to the hospital. 

Fortunately, the injuries she received were not life-threatening, as she left the hospital immediately after first aid.

According to Paphos police assistant director of operations, Michalis Nikolaou, the explosion occurred a few minutes before 10:00 p.m. 

The explosive was placed outside the kitchen door, and at the time of the explosion, in addition to the prosecutor, other members of her family were also in the house.

Initially, it is suspected that the placement of the bomb is related to a case handled by the prosecutor, whose name has not yet been disclosed.

The police are conducting investigations to clarify the serious event that shocked Cyprus, while the security cameras in the apartments or businesses in the area of ??the river were seized to collect evidence that could lead to finding the perpetrator or perpetrators./ CNA
