On Sunday evening, the Macedonian authorities announced that they had found the dead body of Vanja Gjor?evskas, the 14-year-old girl who disappeared a week ago in Skopje.

For this event, which shocked the opinion in North Macedonia, five people are suspected, three of whom have been arrested by the police and sent to the Criminal Court, which, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will come out with information detailed today.

The Skopje prosecutor's office announced that, in connection with this case, the father of the murdered girl is also being interrogated, without giving details on his possible involvement in this event.

The prosecution bodies announced the discovery of another dead body in the city of Veles, which is believed to have been executed on the same day as the 14-year-old.

"After comprehensive measures and activities undertaken by police officials from the Internal Affairs Sector in Skopje, on December 3 the dead body of the minor VG, who was reported missing on 27.11.2023, was found in the vicinity of Skopje, while in the vicinity of Veles, the dead body of P.Zh. (74) from Veles, who was reported missing on 24.11.2023. In connection with the two cases, five people are suspected, three of whom have been detained, one is abroad and another is being interrogated", the announcement of the prosecutor's office states.

According to the police and the prosecution, the motive for committing the murders is believed to be "material gain"./ CNA
