Tragedy in the US/ Shooting in a bar, 4 dead, at least 20 injured

A bar party turned into a tragedy in South Carolina, USA, after gunfire erupted in a crowded bar, leaving four people dead and at least 20 injured.

According to law enforcement, the shooting occurred at Willie's Bar & Grill on the island of St. Helena, where hundreds of people had gathered. When emergency crews arrived, they found a large, chaotic crowd and multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Witnesses told investigators that, as the shooting began, terrified customers ran for cover, with some fleeing into nearby businesses and homes to escape the gunfire.

It's not yet clear what prompted the shooting or if anyone has been arrested. The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing as detectives work to identify the suspect(s). /CNA
