Cocaine trafficking in Switzerland/ 3 arrested, including a 33-year-old Albanian woman

Three arrests were made in the Bellinzona area for violations of federal narcotics law. The Swiss cantonal police and the Public Prosecutor's Office announced the arrests this Thursday.

The three citizens are a 36-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both Swiss citizens and residents of the Bellinzona area, as well as a 33-year-old Albanian woman.

The three, arrested in an apartment in Bellinzona, are suspected of involvement in cocaine trafficking for local clients.

The operation, according to a statement, was initiated as part of an investigation carried out in collaboration with the municipal anti-drug services of Bellinzona, which has already led to three arrests in recent months. The 33-year-old woman and the 25-year-old man also face charges of violating the law on foreigners./CNA
