German Chancellor Friedrich Merz spoke about the war in the Middle East at a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump.
Merz said that rising gas and oil prices are hurting the German economy.
The Chancellor further stated that everyone hopes that this war will end as soon as possible and wished that the US and Israel are on the right track to ending it.
" The increase in gas and oil prices since Saturday's attacks is certainly hurting our economies. That's why we all hope that this war will end as soon as possible and we hope that the Israeli and American militaries are doing the right things to end this ," Merz said.
