King Charles orders his brother to leave the royal residence

King Charles has ordered his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who no longer holds a princely title, to vacate his royal residence, Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Andrew will now leave the Royal Lodge, moving to other private accommodation.

The decision comes after a period of public and media pressure over his links to Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of inappropriate behavior, although Andrew continued to deny the allegations. 

The Royal Palace said these measures were necessary despite the fact that Andrew continues to deny the allegations and that the King expresses support for victims and survivors of any form of abuse.

Andrew had already lost the use of the title 'Duke of York' and some of his other titles due to criticism and severe public backlash. /CNA
