The Assembly of Kosovo has approved the law on the budget for 2024, in an extraordinary session on Thursday evening.

Out of 64 deputies present in the hall, the budget was approved with 63 votes in favor and one abstention.

This session was abandoned by the opposition.

The budget sum amounts to over 3.3 billion euros, which is an increase compared to the previous year where it was 3.2 billion.

Kurti said that the overall approved budget is 35% higher than the budget we found in our first year of government.

"With this general budget of over 3.3 billion euros, which is 35% higher than the budget we found in our first year of government, we are continuing to strengthen the defense of the Republic, increase security, promote employment in the labor market , we increase care for families, support the reforms we have started and enable further economic development and raise the well-being of the citizens in the country", Kurti wrote./ CNA
