The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is informed that he will not be present at the Global Forum for Foreign Policy, Security, European Affairs and Economy in Bratislava.
The reason for canceling Prime Minister Kurti's participation in this forum is the situation in the north of the country.
Kurti will not be part of the GLOBSEC 2023 forum or the online conference, despite the fact that in the itinerary of this meeting the prime minister was appointed as a speaker on a panel together with the former president of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic, the former prime minister of Bulgaria Kirill Petkov .
Meanwhile, the EU's special envoy for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajçak, will also give a speech at this forum.
The situation in the north of Kosovo continues to be tense. NATO troops are securing the municipal building in Zveçan, where 30 NATO soldiers and over 50 Serbian protesters were injured in a clash the day before.
Meanwhile, KFOR soldiers are also found around municipal facilities in Zubin Potok and Leposavic.
In all three of these municipalities with a Serbian majority, the protests against the Albanian mayors are continuing even today, although with a smaller number of people gathered.
