JD Vance reveals whether he will run for US president

Vice President JD Vance did not confirm a run for the White House in 2028, but did not rule out the possibility, saying that if he does his job well, "the politics will figure it out."

Vance said he doesn't like to think about a possible presidential candidacy and insisted his focus remains on his current role.

"If we do a good job in 2025 and 2026, then we can talk about politics in 2027. I really think the American people are very fed up with people already running for the next job, seven months after starting the current job," Vance said.

The Vice President added that if he is going to be a candidate, he knows he will have to work hard for it.

 

"There are a lot of great people. If I end up running, I'm going to keep working hard. This might be the most important job I've ever had, besides being a father to those three beautiful children. So I'm going to try to do my best job, and I think if I do that, politics will figure itself out," the vice president declared.

When asked specifically about potential Democratic candidates for the 2028 election, he noted that most of them "certainly have very bad records."

Vance focused primarily on discussing his own campaign, praising President Donald Trump's relentless work ethic and confident leadership style, and explaining that the president "has no off switch."

"Sometimes, the president calls you at 12:30 or 2 in the morning and then calls you at 6 in the morning about a completely different subject. What's made it so entertaining is that the president, all the while, just says, 'JD go and do this,' or 'JD go and talk to these leaders about this particular issue.' That ability to delegate and trust his people has been really amazing," JD Vance continued./ CNA, translated by Fox News
