If Russia goes ahead with its plans to annex four regions of Ukraine, it would mark a "dangerous escalation" that would threaten prospects for peace in the region, UN chief Antonio Guterres said on Thursday.

"Any decision to proceed with the annexation of the Ukrainian regions: Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia would have no legal value and deserves to be condemned," he told reporters.

Kremlini njoftoi më 29 shtator se do t'i aneksojë formalisht katër rajone të Ukrainës, ku së voni u mbajtën të ashtuquajturat referendume për bashkim me Rusinë.

Zëdhënësi Dmitry Peskov tha se ceremonia e nënshkrimit do të mbahet më 30 shtator.
