The High Representative of the OSCE for Freedom of the Media, Teresa Ribeiro, has expressed concern regarding the case of the journalist Elton Qyno, who was asked for the source of the information by SPAK.

SPAK prosecutors also decided to control the apartment and then seize his work items.

In a post on social networks, Teresa Ribeiro writes that the confidentiality of journalistic sources is key to media freedom and must be strictly protected by law and any other practice.

“Shocked that in Albania journalist Elton Qyno was pressured for several hours to reveal his sources after authorities searched his home and office, seizing equipment.
