Eurostat: Eurozone inflation fell to 6.9 percent in March

In today's report, Eurostat confirmed the previous estimate, according to which inflation in the Eurozone fell to 6.9 percent in March, which represents a significant decrease compared to February's inflation of 8.5 percent.

In March, inflation fell across the EU due to falling energy prices, according to the report. 

Growth in EU industrial production was also recorded, and the unemployment rate was 6.0 percent in February, down slightly from 6.1 percent in January.  


For the first time since February 2020, before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, in February 2023, there was no increase in mortality across the EU, Eurostat points out.
