Business organizations across Albania have called on governments to intervene immediately to address rising fuel prices, warning that the situation is becoming a real threat to the economy, the competitiveness of businesses, and the purchasing power of citizens.

This effect is being directly reflected in the slowdown in economic activity, increased uncertainty and the postponement of new investment decisions. In many cases, businesses are being forced to review their strategic plans, while some sectors are facing real difficulties for survival. Businesses requested a temporary and flexible review of the fiscal burden on fuels and warned that if no action is taken, there will be an increase in the prices of other products.

In a joint statement to the media, the Pan-Albanian Economic Forum, in cooperation with the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Kosovo Business Alliance and other representative business organizations in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and the Presevo Valley, said that recent developments in the fuel market are exerting strong pressure on the economies of the region.

The continuous increase in fuel prices, influenced by developments in global energy markets, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and uncertainties in supply chains, is putting our economies under strong and sustained pressure. In conditions of high dependence on imports and a sensitive economic structure, this crisis is immediately reflected in every segment of our economic activities.

In close coordination with the business community, including Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and the Presevo Valley, we assess that this situation is taking on increasingly serious proportions and constitutes a common structural challenge for the economies of the region, which requires immediate and harmonized inter-institutional attention, the statement says.

Businesses warn of further price increases

According to the statement, fuel represents one of the most important elements that guarantees the normal functioning of the economy. From transport and agriculture, to industry, tourism and services, every sector relies on this strategic input.

Its price increase is producing a visible and tangible chain effect:

-increase in production and service costs in all sectors;

-increase in prices for the final consumer;

-decrease in purchasing power of families;

-weakening of the competitiveness of businesses in regional and international markets.

Ky efekt po reflektohet drejtpërdrejt në uljen e ritmit të aktivitetit ekonomik, në rritjen e pasigurisë dhe në shtyrjen e vendimeve për investime të reja. Në shumë raste, bizneset po detyrohen të rishikojnë planet e tyre strategjike, ndërsa disa sektorë po përballen me vështirësi reale për mbijetesë.

Të merren masa

Në emër të komunitetit të biznesit, bizneset kërkuan masa të menjëhershme, konkrete dhe të matshme për të përballuar këtë situatë:

-Rishikim të përkohshëm dhe fleksibël të barrës fiskale

Struktura aktuale e çmimit përmban një peshë të lartë taksash. Nevojitet ndërhyrje e targetuar për stabilizimin e tregut, në përputhje me praktikat e vendeve të Bashkimit Europian.

-Transparencë të plotë në formimin e çmimit

publikim periodik i strukturës së çmimit;

qartësim i faktorëve ndikues (çmimet në tregjet ndërkombëtare, taksat, akciza, etj.).

-Forcim të kontrollit dhe konkurrencës së ndershme

monitorim aktiv i operatorëve;

hetim i rasteve të mundshme të abuzimit;

luftë kundër informalitetit.

-Mbështetje për sektorët më të ekspozuar

Transporti, bujqësia, industria prodhuese, shërbimet dhe turizmi kërkojnë masa konkrete lehtësuese për të ruajtur konkurrueshmërinë.

-Masa strukturore afatmesme dhe afatgjata

krijimi i rezervave strategjike të naftës;

diversifikimi i burimeve të energjisë;

investime në energji alternative dhe eficiencë energjetike.

-Dialog i institucionalizuar qeveri–biznes

Kërkohet një dialog i hapur, i rregullt dhe funksional për hartimin e politikave efektive dhe të zbatueshme.

Deklarata është nënshkruar nga 12 organizata të biznesit, mes tyre Forumi Ekonomik Mbarëshqiptar, Dhoma e Tregtisë dhe Industrisë Tiranë, Aleanca Kosovare e Bizneseve, Shoqata e Ndërtuesve, Këshilli i Agrobiznesit Shqiptar, Shoqata Kombëtare e Transportit të Udhëtarëve të Shqipërisë, Shoqata Shqiptare e Turizmit, Shoqata e Industrisë Ushqimore Shqiptare, Shoqata e Industrisë së Përpunimit të Qumështit, Shoqata e Bimëve Medicinale, PRO-Eksport Albania dhe Shoqata e Grave Profesioniste, Afariste dhe Zejtare.

Nëse nuk merren masa, rritja e çmimeve do të jetë e fortë

Organizatat e biznesit kërkojnë veprim të menjëhershëm dhe konkret nga qeveritë dhe institucionet përkatëse. Çdo vonesë në vendimmarrje do të ketë kosto të drejtpërdrejta për ekonominë dhe qytetarët.

Bizneset kërkuan ndërhyrje urgjente, të matshme dhe të verifikueshme, me afate të qarta zbatimi.

Çdo mungesë reagimi në këtë moment kritik përbën përgjegjësi të drejtpërdrejtë institucionale për përkeqësimin e situatës ekonomike.

Përgjegjësia për stabilitetin ekonomik është përgjegjësi e drejtpërdrejtë e institucioneve shtetërore. Biznesi nuk mundet dhe nuk duhet që të përballojë i vetëm këtë barrë.

Nëse nuk ndërmerren masa të menjëhershme:

-rritja e çmimeve do të përshkallëzohet;

-investimet do të frenohen;

-vendet e punës do të rrezikohen;

-dhe ekonomia do të përballet me pasoja të rënda dhe afatgjata. /Monitor
