Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, who is behind bars following the court's decision, has today reacted again with his propaganda points, which easily fall short of many facts and evidence.

First, Erion Veliaj says that the investigation began with anonymous letters.

In fact, with the laws that the Albanian parliament passed when Erion Veliaj was a member of parliament, it is enough to see whether there is truth in the information provided and whether it is anonymous or not, this does not matter, what matters is the evidence that was found.

They are verified and if there is no violation of the law and the criminal code, there is nothing wrong. If corruption and laundering of the proceeds of crime are found, whether anonymous or named, the facts and evidence are administered and taken to court.

Erion Veliaj says he was sentenced without trial from the start. This is a lie.

Erion Veliaj has been questioned several times by SPAK and has two court decisions and others that are coming day after day in the Appeal.  There is a preliminary security measure and its confirmation. They are both from the GJKKO and he is lying.

Further, Erion Veliaj says that his personal biography etc. has been investigated. Illegal vetting. In fact, we have a law on vetting that was made specifically for judges and prosecutors, those that Erion Veliaj called "colleagues", those judges and prosecutors in SPAK and GJKKO that Erion Veliaj said were proud to be there and it was a proper investment.

Those judges and prosecutors, including Ols Dadon and Erjon Banin, etc., whom Erion Veliaj has never attacked, except on the day he was given the security measure.

Moreover, he lied. Initially, he said that there was no investigation against him, that Ajola was being investigated, etc.

Erion claims that there are no charges but forgets that he is under preliminary investigation.

So, enough evidence has been found to put him behind bars and it doesn't mention why Klotilda Bushka destroyed his evidence?

He doesn't say how he signed over the money to his wife's family. He claims persecution of the family.

So what is family persecution?

For these people, buying a car is a big surprise, a car worth 7 thousand euros is sold for 23 thousand euros, then sold for half price, then another 140 thousand euros are thrown around Tirana with pillows.

And he further tells us that the capital has been left without direction. The capital has an administration, a deputy mayor, and the prime minister himself is involved.

What does Erion Veliaj need at the head of the capital for? To sign payment orders for Ajola's uncle's daughter-in-law? To sign payment orders for events for which Ajola receives money? To engage friends and acquaintances like Klotilda Bushka to destroy evidence?

From prison and not leaving a word unsaid, no longer free at the head of the municipality.

He mixes them up with Saliu, Olsi, etc., always forgetting Altin Dumani and continuing with the lies that there is pressure on witnesses, reminding him of prison.

Now the court knows how innocent Erion is and there are court decisions.

But tomorrow the Court of Appeals will have proof that the justice reform was not done for specific names because the Court of Fact has shown it, SPAK has shown it for the names of the opposition, of the government, on all sides.

Tomorrow is proof that the name doesn't matter, the facts are inside, and that's enough to say "Long live the Justice Reform" or thank you Erion for lying to the whole world and with your tricks, blackmail, pressure on justice, lobbying studios, lawyers, and your scenes, you managed to get away with it.

Either the Justice Reform falls with the Appeal of the Constitutional Court or Erion Veliaj falls. If the first falls, the state falls, if Erion Veliaj falls, a simple thief falls./ CNA
