CNA has long denounced the scandalous situation with waste, as garbage has covered the neighborhoods of Tirana.

In every area, waste bins are overflowing and garbage is "pouring" on the streets for days.

In addition to a not at all dignified panorama for a capital city, the unresolved waste situation in Tirana is endangering the health of citizens every day.

On Thursday, CNA made an observation on the ground, in some of the most populated neighborhoods of Tirana.

We start with " Astiri ", an area in which this panorama of remains is common.

" Don Bosco ", a highly populated area, but with garbage on the streets and uncleaned bins.

The same situation occurs in the " Brryl" area .

These were just some of the neighborhoods of Tirana choked by garbage, but the same situation is present in the entire capital.

The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, upon his arrival at the head of the municipality, testified that he was obsessed with trash.

With the non-existent incinerator, he took tens of millions of euros from the taxes of poor citizens, while he has left Tirana under the power of garbage.

The incinerator affair costs over 130 million euros, but the garbage "flows" into the streets of the capital. The one who propagandized for the cleaning of Tirana, today has left the latter drowned by waste.
