The situation at the Ministry of Agriculture is worsening day by day since the arrival of the new Minister Andri Salla, who is seeking to turn the ministry into the stable or detention institution he has previously headed.

In all his schemes and scenarios, Salla uses the institution's secretary general, Dritan Palnikaj, the latter known as a person under investigation by SPAK for the scandal of the theft of several online investigative files. Palnikaj was summoned to SPAK on March 20, 2025.

CNA has uncovered the schemes from sources of the "full-fledged spokesman" of the Ministry of Agriculture, Arjan Demiri, who is reported to be a key figure coordinating these changes with Palnikaj and the anti-legal orders of Minister Salla, who perhaps sees the ministry as a stable or prison where lawbreakers, some of the minister's own associates, should end up.

Sources from the corridors of the ministry report that Secretary General Dritan Palnikaj, by order of the minister, has put pressure on Edmond Spaho, Director General of Fisheries and a Doctor of Science, to vacate the position of Director appointed in November 2024 and return to Arian Demir's directorate.

In his place, according to information provided by CNA, Vasjar Sherrmadhi from Shtermeni i Cërrikut is requested to be appointed, who will be appointed Director General of Fisheries. Meanwhile, Spaho is expected to compete for another job within the ministry.

CNA sources emphasize that the changes are part of a broader political movement within the ministry, which aims to place people and tools of the minister in key positions, including replacing current leaders, who are known as professionals, with militants and brokers of the minister.

Arjan Demiri is reported to be the key figure coordinating these changes in collaboration with Dritan Palnikaj.
