Serious suspicions about the prosecutor's assets, mockery of the vetting

Saranda Prosecutor, Esmeralda Basho, is at the center of suspicion after the publication of several asset declarations, which contain contradictions and a lack of transparency.

In the documents submitted to the ILDKPI, she appears to be the owner of an 86 m² apartment in Saranda, without justifying the financial source of the property.

In another statement, she says that for 3 years of rent she has only paid 200 thousand old lek in total, a ridiculous amount, while in another document she shows that she rented her apartment for one day, for the same amount.

Also, Prosecutor Basho has declared over 8 million lek in a bank account, again without specifying the source.

Experts in the field and former prosecutors have described these discrepancies as false statements, which constitute violations of the law and could lead to criminal prosecution./ tv klan
