The Chairman of the RTSH Steering Council, Leka Bungo, has been involved in a series of scandals.

CNA has published documents that clearly show how Leka Bungo abused his position as chairman of the RTSH Steering Council.

There are 5 pieces of evidence against him.

1-Leka Bungo receives money

The document shows that Leka Bungo received the institution's funds in the role of screenwriter for a television show, titled "G?zuar". CNA has published the contract between Leka Bungo and Alfred Peza, which clearly shows the abuse committed by the chairman of the RTSH Steering Council.

2-Leka Bungo has violated the RTSH statute

The statute clearly states that the chairman of the RTSH Steering Council and members cannot receive funds from the institution.

This was also confirmed by the General Director of this institution to CNA, who stated:

""Referring to decision no. 3 dated 9.1.2024 of the Steering Council, only the directors of the RTSH who are elected by the Steering Council are exempt from paying royalties for engagements in film and artistic projects of the RTSH," emphasizes director Aurora Polo for CNA.

3-Leka Bungo breaks the law

Leka Bungo has violated the law on Incompatibilities and Conflicts of Interest of Members of the KDRTSH.

Point "b" of Article 97 states: Members of the KDRTSH cannot be individuals who:

-are related persons, according to the definitions of Law No. 9367, dated 7.4.2005 "On the prevention of conflict of interest in the exercise of public functions" or who own capital shares or shares of commercial companies, as well as other rights in the field of audiovisual broadcasting, advertising, audiovisual broadcasting content production, electronic communication networks or persons employed during the last year, members of the management or advisory bodies of these entities or related to any license with these entities.

As a result, point "ç" of article 100 determines that the dismissal from office occurs if it is proven that the chairman of the RTSH Steering Council has violated the obligations of article 97 of this law.

4-Leka Bungo has deceived the Parliament

CNA has published the video, which was taken on November 13, 2024, where Leka Bungo speaks before the Media Committee in parliament.

Leka Bungo lies, deceives the commission under oath. This man who talks about how he removed the directors deceives the commission and it is a video fact because 11 months before speaking in this commission, Leka Bungo signed the above document that we have shown with Alfred Peza, he received 4 million lek. Meanwhile, he says in parliament that I have not done any work for 2 and a half years.

5-Leka Bungo has forged his signature

On January 6, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Albanian Public Radio and Television was held with several items on the agenda, one of which was the opening of the competition for the General Director of the institution following the vacancy created by the resignation of Alfred Peza.

Immediately after the meeting on January 6, CNA obtained documents through official channels.

Bungo left the meeting, there is also an audio recording that he was upset, there was also a conflict with the members of the Steering Council, who voted and opened the race with a majority vote, Leka Bungo left and normally had nothing to sign, but it turns out that he has already signed the document opening the race even though he was not present and against it.

The same document was published once unsigned by Bungo, once signed by him, and another time it was written as missing.
