The Fier Prosecutor's Office has started investigations into the fire that engulfed the shopping center in Lushnja on Monday, December 25.

For the fire, criminal proceedings were registered for the criminal offense "Destruction of property by fire".

The Prosecutor's Office has set up an investigative group with experts from various fields and a group of judicial police officers to conduct investigations and discover the cause of the initial outbreak.

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Fier General Jurisdiction informs the public that for the event that took place in the "Metropol Center" shopping center, "Çlirimi" neighborhood, Lushnjë, it has registered criminal proceedings no. 1846/2023, for the criminal offense "Destruction of property by fire", provided by article 151 of the Criminal Code.

The ready prosecutor immediately went to the scene where the first investigative actions were carried out.

An investigative group consisting of experts from various fields and a group of judicial police officers under the direction of the Prosecutor has been set up. The investigations are being carried out in full cooperation with the judicial police services of the State Police. With the administration of procedural acts and expert acts, a conclusion will be drawn on the cause of the fire and the initial hearth.
