The Minister of Education Ogerta Manastirliu during the evaluation ceremony of "Teacher I of 2023" said that in the coming year 100 special teachers will be hired to help children with different abilities.

According to Manastirli, the number of assistant teachers in total will reach 2,000 next year.

She said that a national plan of measures for education is ready. Among the steps that will be taken is the increase of teachers' salaries as well as the development of various trainings.

"We have ready the national plan of measures with a focus on the best development of students and teachers in order to increase the quality of teaching. Our approach to include more teaching assistants for children with special abilities will be objective. There will be 100 special teachers who will be hired. Special teachers will be hired, where in the following year we will have 2,000 assistant teachers. One of the steps of transformation in education that feel in performance is financial support. In 2024 we will have a significant salary increase for teachers. The average salary of teachers will be 950,000 lek," Manastirliu said . / CNA
