Two people have fallen into the hands of the Korca police after defrauding Greek citizens, taking bank account details and transferring sums of money from their accounts to other unidentified accounts through fictitious agents.    

Thanks to the police operation coded "Kryptonite", the citizens were arrested in the act:

- KH, 31 years old, resident in Tirana;

- KF, 29 years old, resident of Korça.

Police Services, during the control exercised in neighborhood no. 2, on "Republika" boulevard, in Korça, in a commercial entity owned by the citizen KH, they found 7 employees illegally employed, who were undeclared to the tax authorities.  

Also, from the examination of the computer equipment located in this environment, name lists with telephone contacts and photos of identification documents of Greek citizens, bank transaction receipts, fictitious receipts in "Bitcoin" cryptocurrencies, cryptocurrency addresses, etc. were found.

The computer equipment was used by these nationals to defraud Greek nationals by obtaining their personal bank details, accessing their accounts, through fictitious agents, to transfer sums of money to various foreign accounts, unidentified. 

During the operation, 23 computer units, 1 laptop, 2 mobile phones and other electronic devices used in this illegal activity were seized as material evidence. 

Intensive investigative work continues to identify and bring to the fore the legal responsibility of other citizens implicated in this criminal activity and the sequestration of the assets benefited from it. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
