On Thursday morning, officers of the Police and BKH "landed" at the residence of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, to carry out inspections. 

But this check is actually funny for several reasons.

First, the inspection of Ilir Beqaj's apartment comes almost 4 years after SPAK started the investigation into the 100 million euro affair. SPAK started investigations into this affair in January 2020. 

Second,  this check comes more than 1 month late, after GJKKO gave the decision for the former Minister of Health. In November, judge Erion Bani decided on the measure "compulsion to appear" and "ban to flee abroad", against the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj. The latter is accused of abuse of office. 

Third, the cooperation between the prosecutor of the case Edvin Kondili and Ilir Beqaj is known. Prosecutor Kondili has tried to save Beqaj, for the sterilization affair, as he is universally known as a political soldier of the Rama government. The possibility that the latter may have had contact with Beqjan regarding SPAK's investigative actions is not excluded.  

So, in conclusion, Ilir Beqajt is not found in Ilir Beqajt's house either, and the evidence that SPAK is looking for for the accusation against him is no longer there.

Apparently, the people who carried out the checks today will have left Beqaj's apartment on "Barrikadave" street in Tirana empty-handed./ CNA
