"I have won freedom forever"/ Rama's phone call with Thaçi: The commander was calm

Prime Minister Edi Rama had a phone call with former President Hashim Thaçi on Kosovo's Independence Day. Rama shared the call on social media.

Alongside the video, Rama writes that for years the February 17th congratulatory phone call has been emotionally difficult.

The Prime Minister writes that today Thaçi was calm in his voice and said that he has won freedom forever and no one can take it away.

" For years, the February 17th congratulatory phone call from The Hague has been emotionally difficult, but today the Commander was as calm as ever in his voice, repeating to me twice, at the beginning and at the end, 'I have won my freedom forever and no matter where I am, no one can ever take it away from me ,'" Rama writes.
