SP/Berisha's legal initiative: Unconstitutional coup

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that the SP's legal initiative to amend the Criminal Code to protect Balluku is an unconstitutional coup.

"Look where Edi Rama is going. We are in the real conditions of an unconstitutional coup."

If the Constitution provides for equality in protection for some functions, it can never foresee, it can never equate those directly elected by the sovereign with those appointed by Parliament or the Council of Ministers.

Someone who has been chosen by the sovereign cannot be suspended, they are prosecuted.

"The attempt to equate nominal persons with elected officials is another violation of the constitution, it is a flagrant violation of the constitution," Berisha said./ CNA
