“Be a worthy follower of the ministry of His Beatitude Anastasios”/

The Patriarch of Georgia, Ilia II, has congratulated His Beatitude Ioannis on his election as the new Archbishop of the Albanian Orthodox Church.

In his congratulatory message, Patriarch Ilia II wishes His Beatitude spiritual strength and wisdom, to be a worthy successor to the late Archbishop, Anastasios.

On behalf of the Georgian Orthodox Church and personally, on my own behalf, I congratulate you wholeheartedly on your election as Primate of the Church of Albania.

May God grant you health, longevity, spiritual strength, and wisdom, so that you may fulfill the great responsibility entrusted to you, so that you may be a worthy successor to the ministry of His Beatitude Anastasius.

We hope that under your leadership, the ties between our churches will be strengthened and your work as a hierarch and leader will be fruitful, bringing joy to your flock and to all of Orthodoxy.
