TikTok shutdown begins in Albania

TikTok has started to lose access to mobile networks.

Meanwhile, in the coming days, the operation to shut down TikTok is expected to continue on ISPs, internet service providers in Albania, and after a process that could last up to 10 days, TikTok will no longer be accessible in Albania.

The Albanian government, at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on March 6, decided to close the social network TikTok within the month of March for a period of 12 months.

The closure will begin after publication in the Official Gazette and will last until the company installs filters to protect minors from inappropriate content.

The closure of TikTok was announced some time ago by Prime Minister Rama./ CNA
