SPAK gives the claim for Vangjush Dako / Here are how many years in prison he wants

SPAK gave this Tuesday the claim for the former head of Durra Municipality, Vangjush Dako.

The special prosecutor, Sotir Kllapi, requested 4 years in prison for the former mayor of Durrës and 3 years for the surveyor Fatmir Ejupi.

If he is found guilty, with an abbreviated trial, Dako will have 1/3 of his sentence reduced and he can serve 2.8 years in prison.

The former socialist mayor is accused of having committed the criminal offense of "abuse of duty" in two cases.

Vangjush Dako was arrested on June 6, 2023 by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office and was released after 9 months of detention, specifically on February 27, 2024 after the terms of detention expired and he was placed under house arrest with 24-hour police supervision./ CNA
