CNA some time ago published images from the incinerator of Tirana where it was announced that the situation with the waste in the landfill is catastrophic.
This Thursday, the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, declared that people who do not follow the right line wherever they are, must bear responsibility themselves and there is no need to hold others.
He even compared the situation with the incinerator affair to that of a taxi network, where he said that if a taxi driver is drunk, then the one who should be punished and expelled from the taxi chain is the drunk and not all taxi drivers.
So in this way, Valiaj once again expressed his attitude about the incinerators, saying that the work to clean Tirana must continue, even now Tirana will take over the administration and cleaning of the villages.
"For cleaning and waste management, Tirana will manage the entire metropolitan area. The municipality of Tirana will take care of all the cleaning of the city itself. I am reminding you of when the yellow cloud was rising over Saw, when many communities were fighting over cans. I'm sure there might be a drunk taxi driver but we can't stop all taxi drivers. So Tirana will continue to be cleaned. The fairy of the mountain does not come to take them. We will make sure that Tirana cleans not only the center, but also the facade more deeply," said Veliaj./ CNA
