The Internet is our daily companion: a tool that opens up great opportunities for knowledge, entertainment and communication. But like any tool, if used without responsibility and care, it can become dangerous, especially for children. The unlimited use of technology, whether on social networks or in long hours in front of the screen, brings worrying phenomena such as addiction and exposure to inappropriate content.
For this reason, a guide is needed to help avoid these increasingly present dangers in the era we live in. Who else, other than parents, can be their 'protectors' in this open, but often uncertain, world?

This is precisely the message conveyed by Vodafone Albania at the next “Digital Parenting” event, held this weekend at the Vodafone store in TEG, as a follow-up to the first activity at the Puppet Theater. The goal was clear: to strengthen the role of parents as Digital Protectors, by providing them with practical guidelines to protect children and build a healthy relationship with technology.

Parents were introduced to the "Digital Guide", a manual based on British standards and adapted for Albania, which explains how to set time limits, how to monitor online content, and how to develop open communication with children.

The children, on the other hand, discovered these rules through an interactive quiz with seven questions, where for each correct answer they were rewarded with a 1 GB gift. The game became the easiest way to teach them that technology is necessary and fun, but always accompanied by caution.

Jonida Lakuriqi, Director of Legal Affairs, Public Policy and External Affairs at Vodafone Albania and Chairwoman of the Vodafone Foundation, emphasized that: "The Internet offers us a sea of ??opportunities, but also a mountain of dangers. Parents need knowledge and tools, in this shared journey with their children, to protect them, to guide them, to direct them, while they use the digital world.
This is the essence of the digital parenting campaign. The campaign is conceived as a series of events throughout the year in an interactive and educational format with communities of parents, children, but also teachers, where we will break down the “Digital Parenting” guide. Today was an event not to be missed, the participation was fantastic, parents, children, even grandparents, who also gave correct answers.

Digital parenting is a shared journey: Together we can!” The event also presented practical solutions such as Kids Safety Watch and First-Phone Ready bundle, which provide safety through content filters, time restrictions and emergency options. Vodafone Albania will continue with similar activities in its stores, making technology safer and more useful for Albanian families. In this way, Vodafone Albania is strengthening the culture of digital parenting in Albania, turning parents into true guardians of the online world./ CNA
