Quarrel with Nallbatin/ The Supreme Court accepts Vullnet Sinaj's appeal

The Supreme Court of Albania has accepted the appeal of MP Vullnet Sinaj, paving the way for the reexamination of the case related to the physical conflict that occurred in the Parliament.

The decision was made by the criminal panel composed of judges Ilir Panda, Genti Shala and Albana Boksi.

With this appeal, Sinaj requests the reversal of the previous Appeals decision and the reopening of investigations against Democratic Party MP Bledjon Nallbati, for the criminal offense of assault in the course of duty.

Previously, the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime had upheld the first instance decision to discontinue the investigations, following the request of SPAK.

The case relates to the event of October 30, 2023, when the two deputies were involved in a physical confrontation inside the premises of the Assembly, which then continued outside the session hall./ CNA
