The service of the Akathist Hymn, Stanza I, was held today at the "Resurrection of Christ" Cathedral in Tirana.

At the end of the service, Archbishop Ioan delivered his sermon, where he emphasized the importance of joy in the life of every person. His Beatitude expressed that in order to save the soul, every person needs God.

Among other things, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of prayer in the life of every person, adding that during the Lenten period, prayer becomes stronger and the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ responds to prayers more quickly.

“This is one of the most beautiful services of the Church. Everyone who comes feels the joy in the air from this service. Where there is joy, there is God. Where there is evil, there is no joy. A life without joy is a crippled life. Joy lies where God is present. Where God is present, it is a life that is lived according to God’s values ??and teachings. Although today we commemorate a historical event, when the city of Constantinople was saved from invasion by the intervention of the All-Holy One, as we have often said, everything that God touches turns into a historical transformation for all times. The Fathers of the Church have symbolically described the human soul as a city. All passions from the outside and from the inside are attacks to invade the city. And to save the city, every person needs God and the All-Holy One. Thousands of miracles have been performed by praying to the All-Holy One. Whenever our soul has difficulties, we pray to "All Saints. So let us pray to the All Saints, the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ, to protect our Church, us and our families. Prayer always has power. The more we repent and dedicate ourselves to God, the more our prayer will be heard. During the period of Lent, prayer becomes even stronger and the All Saints will answer our prayers," His Beatitude said during the sermon. /CNA
