The Council of Ministers has approved a package of decisions affecting the salary system, the creation of new institutions, and the regulation of access to gambling.

Changes in salaries

Decision no. 425/26.6.2024 regulates the structure and salary levels for teaching and non-teaching employees in pre-university institutions, with financial effect from January 1, 2026.

Decision no. 420/26.6.2024 determines the salaries and allowances for active military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.

Decision no. 4/9.1.2025 determines the criteria and values ??for the rewards of State Police employees.

Creation of institutions and programs

The Central Inspectorate of Pre-University Education is established to monitor and supervise pre-university education.

Rules for the Youth Talent Program are approved, defining the criteria, support, and financial rewards for participating young people.

Electronic Registry of Gambling

The decision provides for the creation of an electronic registry for persons prohibited from entering online gambling premises and platforms, as well as procedures for reviewing, approving or rejecting requests for exemption.
