Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has stated that the environmental and corruption catastrophe with Lana shows the truth of Tirana, which has a mayor with 13 charges and a prime minister who uses it as a money laundering machine with the towers.

In a strong statement, Këlliçi said that Tirana has lost control over the cleaning of the Lana River, which according to him has become a sewage collector.

He stressed that works initiated with Japanese loans during the DP government were unilaterally halted in 2018, increasing taxpayers' costs for maintenance and arbitration by over 20 million euros.

"This environmental and corrupt disaster with Lana shows the truth of Tirana. A city that has its Mayor in prison on 13 charges and a Prime Minister who in turn uses it as a money laundering machine with concrete towers."

Rama says that we have surpassed Europe with the architecture produced here, but behind the facades lies the reality of the river that is a sewage collector in the middle of the city.

The works with the Japanese loan started during the DP government, but were unilaterally stopped in 2018, as the government wanted to put its client into business. The costs added to the costs were at least 20 million euros of Albanian taxpayers for arbitration and maintenance, since there has been no work for 8 years.

In fact, these thieves who have turned Tirana into the most polluted city on the continent belong in Lana.
