The "dismantling" of the government, Ivi Kaso: The changes are a

Democratic Party MP Ivi Kaso has reacted to the recent changes in the government, describing the changes as a prelude to a decision that, according to him, will be made by Prime Minister Edi Rama to not lift Belinda Balluku's immunity.

Invited to the show Opinion, Kaso stated that today's moves in the government cabinet are an attempt to shift attention from the legal issues being investigated by the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime.

According to him, SPAK has accused the official in question of interfering in an ongoing investigation, intimidating and threatening witnesses. The prosecution has also requested that more stringent security measures be taken against her.

Kaso emphasized that Rama's decision is expected to show, according to him, whether the majority will allow the judiciary to act independently or will hinder the process by not lifting immunity.

"Today's changes are a prelude to tomorrow's decision by Edi Rama not to lift her immunity. She is accused by SPAK of having interfered in the ongoing investigation against her by intimidating and threatening witnesses. SPAK demands that a more severe measure be taken," said Ivi Kaso./ CNA
