Extradited from Dubai, Durim Bami requests transfer from "313"

Durim Bami, extradited from Dubai on February 26, 2026, has requested transfer from the "Jordan Misja" Penitentiary Institution in Tirana to the Fushë-Krujë prison, arguing that his life is in danger.

The request was filed by his lawyer, Ilir Murati, with the Directorate of Prisons, the Ministry of Justice and the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK). According to the defense, there are people in the same institution who are suspected of having planned his physical elimination.

Bami is accused of "providing conditions for murder" and "participation in a structured criminal group", while the case is being investigated by SPAK. The lawyer emphasizes that the authorities have a legal obligation to guarantee the safety of every detainee and requests immediate measures for his transfer./ CNA
