Protest without protesters in Përrenjas, the only activist in the square:

A protest announced in Përrenjas did not bring any participants to the square. The only person present was activist Eduard Shebeku, who lives in Pogradec, but originally comes from the Përrenjas area. Faced with the lack of citizens, Shebeku began his speech with ironic tones, saying that the residents had not come out to protest, but that he had come to greet them.

"Good evening, thank you for coming! Actually, you didn't come, but... no problem, we came. We came to greet you. We said that like in all of Albania, we should organize a protest here in Përrenjas. I am a son of this area."

The activist expressed disappointment at the lack of participation, saying that the citizens of the area seem to have no problems or concerns to raise.

"But apparently, you have no worries or problems at all. I had thought about saying a few words to the north, but I can't tell you that you have everything at work. However, we thank you very much for looking at us even from the coffee shop like this," said Shebeku.

During his statement, he also thanked the State Police for their presence at the protest, while also mentioning some of the well-known historical figures of the Përrenjas area, asking that their sacrifice not be forgotten.

"If someone asks you where Vilson Blloshmi, or Genc Leka, or Petrit Blloshmi was from, don't tell them they were from this side. Because they will tremble in their graves. Don't tell them they gave their lives for this side," said Eduard Shebeku.

The protest was previously announced as part of rallies held in other cities in the country, but in Përrenjas it took place without the participation of citizens./ CNA
