Democratic Party MP Luan Baçi spoke today about the protest held by the opposition yesterday evening and the police reaction. In an interview with Syri TV, Baçi described the police's behavior as "the most violent ever."

Among other things, he stated that there were civilian police officers among the protesters who accompanied and arrested people. According to him, people who had no connection to the rally were also detained. Baci condemned the police actions and said that the DP should file criminal charges against them.

"There were over 1,000 police officers on standby and prepared to provoke the protesters. At the end of the protest, they reacted very harshly. The police behaved in the most violent way ever. They reached the DP headquarters, throwing tear gas. On every street in Tirana, they were arresting free citizens who had nothing to do with the protest. Many police officers with hoods on their heads, who looked like bandits, accompanied the people and only when we saw them did they put them in police cars. We entered the police station and saw the protesters locked in rooms as if they were bandits being kept isolated.
