Clashes escalate during protests/ Water is thrown at protesters

Tensions continue at the protest in front of the Parliament and clashes between citizens and police forces. As can be seen in the photo above, a protester was forcibly removed from the street near the Namazgja mosque.

Meanwhile, a water tanker approached the protesters, spraying water at high pressure towards the crowd after they attempted to break the police cordon.

Police forces have also used pepper spray and tear gas.

Unlike other protests, today there is an increased number of police forces and an expanded security perimeter. Meanwhile, it is reported that MPs have begun entering the Assembly for the next plenary session.
