Tributes for Enea Mekolli conclude / The body of the officer is being transported to his final residence

Tributes have been paid to police officer Enea Mekolli, who lost his life during a police operation to capture the much-wanted Violand Braçellari, in the Lozhani area of ??Maliq.

Hundreds of citizens, family, friends and colleagues gathered to bid farewell to the officer, who passed away in the line of duty.

The tribute ceremony was attended by senior representatives of the State Police, including Director General Skënder Hita, who honored his memory and expressed condolences to the family.

The tribute was also attended by the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, who expressed his condolences to the family of the officer who fell in the line of duty.

The serious incident occurred the day before, during an operation to capture Braçellari, where Enea Mekolli lost his life while the other officer, Edison Adri, was injured./CNA
