Following the news broadcast on CNA about the damage to the newly reconstructed road in the village of Rrëmenj, Buçimas administrative unit, representatives of the Democratic Party have also arrived on the scene, describing the situation as a flagrant case of abuse of public funds.

The DP MP for the Korça region, Ledina Alolli, accompanied by the head of the DP branch in Pogradec, closely inspected the condition of the road, emphasizing that the investment made just a few months ago has immediately degraded.

"Together with the chairman of the PD of the Pogradec branch, we are here today in the village of Rrëmenj, in the Buçimas administrative unit, to take a close look at the road problem. The images show what has happened to the road, which is an abuse of public investments and a pure model of corruption. This road was inaugurated just a few months ago, an investment that cost 800 million lek and as you can see, the result is visible. The residents of this area have big problems, because their lives are unsafe when they pass here. This road could lead to the blockage of this neighborhood to communicate with the rest. We call on the competent authorities to take measures and verify the manner in which the works were carried out, as well as the responsibility of the company ," said Alolli.

Even the head of the DP branch in Pogradec, Oligert Muçllari, made direct accusations against the municipality, considering this investment as failed and irresponsible.

"We are in the village of Rrëmenj to denounce a flagrant and irresponsible case by the Pogradec municipality. This is an investment of over 800 million lek, which, although it was inaugurated a short time ago, is today almost destroyed. This shows the irresponsibility in the management of public funds and the poor quality of the works not only in this village, but throughout the territory of the municipality. We call on law enforcement agencies to investigate this case, as we are dealing with a clear abuse of citizens' taxes. We, as the Democratic Party, condemn these acts and are in support of the residents ," said Muçllari.

Meanwhile, residents of the area continue to demand immediate intervention to repair the road, emphasizing that the damage is worsening day by day and is risking the isolation of the neighborhood. They demand that the responsible institutions take concrete measures to guarantee safety and restore the investment to the community. /CNA
