"A blessed month full of peace and prosperity"/ The Head of the KMSH

The Head of the Muslim Community of Albania, Bujar Spahiu, through a post, congratulated Muslim believers on the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

In his greeting, Spahiu says he prays that this month brings peace, mercy, and prosperity.

Spahiu states that fasting is an act of worship that teaches empathy and self-control.

Happy blessed month of Ramadan! I extend my warmest congratulations to all Albanians, wherever they live and work, wishing you a blessed month full of peace, mercy and prosperity in your family and society!

Dear believers, Muslim sisters and brothers,

Tomorrow, we begin the fasting of the holy month of Ramadan, and I have the pleasure of addressing you with my most heartfelt congratulations, praying to God Almighty that this blessed month brings peace, prosperity, and goodness to each of you, to your families, and to our entire society.

Ramadan is one of the greatest spiritual gifts that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon humanity. It is the month of fasting, the Quran, mercy, and forgiveness. In His Holy Book, Allah says:

“The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs of the guidance and the criterion.” (Al-Baqarah, 185)

This verse reminds us that Ramadan is a time of reflection and orientation, a time to return to the fundamental values ??of faith, justice, and moral responsibility.

Fasting is an act of worship that teaches us discipline, self-control, and sensitivity to others.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

"When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained." (Bukhari and Muslim)

This hadith is a message of hope and optimism for every believer. Ramadan is an opportunity for individual and collective improvement, for spiritual purification, and for building a society based on sound values.

In this holy month, the social dimension of faith also has special importance. Ramadan invites us to strengthen solidarity, increase assistance to those in need, be close to the weak, and contribute to a more just and humane society.

At a time when society faces various challenges, Ramadan reminds us of the importance of unity, peace, and coexistence. It teaches us that true faith is reflected in good behavior, respect for others, and dedication to the common good.

On behalf of myself and the Muslim Community of Albania, I wish that this blessed month will be a source of peace, hope, and spiritual strength for all.
