The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has been in prison since his arrest on October 21, 2024.

In an interview for a portal, Meta also shared some personal experiences, in addition to political ideas related to the opposition's situation after May 11.

Among other things, Meta confesses that reading and physical exercise are an integral part of his daily life.

Of course, the greatest pleasure is meeting once a week with my sister and children.

But the daily pleasure is reading and physical exercise.

I am currently reading Nelson Mandela's autobiographical book "Long Walk to Freedom".

I am currently at the moment when Mandela elaborated the ANC's clandestine platform to resist the apartheid regime.

Everywhere minorities suppress the majority through violence and fear, but only temporarily.

Even prison has helped me a lot to free myself from many lies and see life in micro, where it is more real and tangible.
