Greek media "Kathimerini": Greeks vacation in the 'Albanian

The Greek media outlet "Kathimerini" published an article this Saturday about Greek citizens who have chosen to spend their holidays on the Albanian coast.

According to the article, in 2024 alone, around 700,000 Greek citizens visited Albania, as an attractive and mysterious tourist destination.

The article notes that Greek tourists have expressed the best impressions of the beautiful beaches, service and hospitality of Albanians.

The figure of 700,000 speaks for itself. According to data from the Office of Economic and Trade Affairs, this is the number of tourist arrivals to Albania from Greece for the year 2024. Even if this includes those who use Albania as a gateway to the rest of the Western Balkan countries and not just those who choose it as their main destination, it is a number that was considered unimaginable until a few years ago.

"The reconstruction is great"

Those who have vacationed in Albania speak of a country with beautiful and organized beaches, excellent hotels that offer the amenities and comforts they are accustomed to from their vacations in Greece, and restaurants for every taste. They also speak of the hospitality of the Albanian people and the construction boom in Tirana and other cities, which shows that the country is modernizing at a rapid pace, but also of what they found strange. In short, however, they believe that Albania is a place worth visiting.
