The Vlora Court of First Instance has today imposed the security measure "prison arrest" for Italian citizen Angela Panzillo, 28 years old, accused of the serious accident on the Vlora-Fier highway.
The decision was issued by Judge Fjoralb Behari, while she is charged with "Violation of road traffic rules", provided for in the fourth paragraph of the Criminal Code, which provides for severe punishments in cases where one or more people lose their lives as a result of the violations.
The accident occurred a few days ago on the Vlora-Fier road, where the vehicle driven by the 28-year-old originally from Naples lost control and collided with another vehicle.
The collision resulted in the death of two Albanian citizens. As a result, the driver of the pickup truck died on the spot, while the passenger died in hospital a few hours later.
Police and firefighters immediately arrived at the scene, while Panzillo was arrested in flagrante delicto./ CNA
