Rama's prayer at the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Regina di

Prime Minister Edi Rama is in the Vatican for a meeting with the Holy Father, and has also visited the famous basilica, where the image of Our Lady of Good Counsel is located, on a piece detached from the wall of the Church of Shkodra in the distant year 1467.

During the visit, Rama performed a prayer ritual for Albania and Albanians.

"O Mary, sweet Mother of Good Counsel, so beloved of the sons of Albania at home and abroad!

Today we come to you, once again, to entrust our people, our families, our youth to you. You who are the Lady of Shkodra and all of Albania, guide us on the path of goodness, give us light in our doubts and comfort in the trials of life. Under your protection we seek refuge, O Blessed Virgin.

Protect Albania, enlighten our minds, and make us always faithful to your Son, Jesus.
