"National Citizens' Assembly with 300 members"/ What are the protesters warning about?

One of the protesters at the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office announced the establishment of a National Citizens' Assembly. The protester stated that work is being done to do this and that the number of members of this Assembly will be no less than 300.

He added that these members must obtain the consent of the citizens in the protest. Among other things, he called for non-surrender and continuation of the protest.

"During the protest, I spoke about establishing a National Citizens' Assembly. I received the consent of a large part of the citizens here in the square.

I have also discussed with the protest coordination group and we have started working to do this. About 500 potential candidates have been gathered. At the moment these people are selected, there will be no less than 300. A very broad representation that will represent all segments of the protest. They will come here before the people and each one will have to receive approval from the people.

"There will be no one elected by themselves or by small groups. They will be elected only by the protesters. The protest is strong and will continue until the fall of this government ," the citizen said. /CNA
