Elderly man in Pogradec rapes his wife/ 78-year-old woman leaves by helicopter for Trauma hospital

A serious incident is reported to have occurred today in Pogradec, in neighborhood no. 1 of the city.

According to information, a momentary conflict between two elderly people has escalated into the use of hard objects, suspected to be wooden sticks, where an elderly man around 80 years old beat his wife, around 78 years old.

The latter has suffered serious injuries and is in the Pogradec hospital, but according to the white uniforms, the elderly woman will be taken by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital for specialized treatment, after suffering head injuries.

Police are at the scene, the perpetrator has been escorted to the police station, while further investigations will continue to clarify the circumstances. /CNA
