US Chamber of Commerce Index: Labor, Businesses' Top Concern

According to an index of the American Chamber of Commerce, the lack of skilled labor has become a concern.

For the second year in a row, this indicator received the lowest rating in the Business Confidence Index, only 23.06 points, out of a possible 100. 

"Their main concern, for the second year in a row, was the lack of qualified local employees." This indicator has a 1.4 percent decrease compared to last year, and remains one of the main problems. There is also a decrease in the total employment indicator. Members of the American Chamber estimate that finding qualified local staff tops the list of issues perceived as a problem. Compared to a year ago, the indicator has dropped by 1.4 percentage points and unfortunately it shows that this is one of the main problems," says Neritan Mullaj, Executive Director of AMCHAM./ CNA
