A rare archaeological object is found in Vlora/ It belongs to the Roman period

An object from the Roman period was recently found in the area of ??Tragjas, in Vlora.

Archaeologists have assessed that the object may be part of an altar from the Roman period, while they are still doing the verifications to come to a final conclusion.

The object was found during the daily work of a resident of the area and was sent to the Archaeological Museum of Vlora, where it is expected to be exhibited to the public soon.

This news was made known by the journalist Ergys Alushi, who writes on social networks that:

" The archaeological museum of Vlora is enriched with an object that is unique in terms of values.

The archaeological object is thought to be part of an altar from the Roman period and was found in the area of ??Tragjas during the daily work of a resident of the area.

The mapping and preparation of a foundation for placing the object will be the next steps, for the final determination of the period belonging to the altar and its exposure to visitors.
