Bitter news/ Agim Rada passes away at the age of 70

The well-known sculptor, Agim Rada, has passed away at the age of 70.

It is reported that Rada has lost his battle with a lung disease. He was hospitalized for two days, but he could not win the battle.

Agim Rada is the author of a number of public works and important characters such as Marin Barleti, Gjergj Elez Alia, Onufri or Petro Marko.

Also, the sculptor created the statue of our national hero, Gjergji Kastrioti Skënderbeu, which is located in the central park of Budapest.

Recently, Rada had opened a mini memory museum "Artist's House" in his villa, in the former Rada Embassies Block.

The sculptor was born on May 24, 1953 in Tirana and died today to leave an invaluable cultural asset to Albania./ CNA.al
